Sage at #27 Radar Site. Great ride. Awesome view from this site.

This was my second stop of the day, working my way over from Boiling Spring was fun, with a great views and great roads, but the road up to the Radar site is top notch, and plowed out year-round, so it was clear, and had just opened up on June 1st.  I talked one of the guys that works here and mentioned he'd probably be seeing more bikes throughout the summer.

One of the views on the way up.

Panorama at the top.

Taken August 10.  Blue Lake was an added surprize on the way up to this site.

The Snowbank Mountain pinyon pine grove is very interesting and picturesque.  Many large old specimens have died and their skeletons haunt the lofty landscape.  Some cling to life in this harsh landscape.

You can combine this ride with Sagehen, and ride off road for hours.
