Ride Description:

Hear ye, hear ye.  Anyone crazy enough to try this should join in the fun!  The goal of this ride is to ride to the top of Boulder Basin Rd (if it could be called a road).

As posted at http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?p=21292756#post21292756 I'd like to try to ride up Bould Basin Rd.  (I tried last year but didn't make it all the way.)

That said, the ride to the base of the mountain is very beautiful (I plan on going up through Idaho City, Stanley, and down but it is shorter to go through Mountain Home, Fairfield, Ketchum if you wish.) and if you just want to come watch don't feel you NEED to ride your precious baby up a gnarly road if you don't want to.

Also, I'm not the most organized person so be prepared to fully care for yourself (camping, food, fuel, etc.).

I plan on camping near the "exit" off of Highway 75 (approx.  43°46'51.42"N 114°30'26.82"W) Friday night and then attempting to climb to Boulder Basin Saturday.  I've been up there by Jeep many years ago and I remember there is a ghost town up there somewhere.

Depending on the feel of the group we will then either stay Saturday night or just ride home.

To whet your appetite I have a link here from Jason Abbott who was able to get his BMW GS up there last year.
