South Fork Payette High Water

Tim & I Stopped at this turn off on our way to Pinehurst Church.  Lots of spectators were pulled over to see the water that was nearly spilling onto the highway.  Tim may have some better pictures, but I thought I'd post what I got.

These pictures don't really do it justice.  I've ever seen the water so high, the rapids were actually shooting up several feet above road level.

These rocks are just slightly above road level, and the berm they are sitting on is the onlt thing holding the water off the highway.

People watching the water and kayakers.  There was quite a crowd.
