Ride Description:

The Owyhee Challenge Ride starts at the Chevron station on the intersection of Hwy 95 and Hwy 55 just west of Marsing.  Anyone wishing to trailer their bikes to this station would have plenty of room to unload their motorcycle and leave a vehicle here.  It's kickstands up at 9:30 so give yourself enough time to fuel up, etc. before leaving.  The next opportunity for gas will be once we return to Jordan Valley, OR.

From the Chevron we travel S. on Hwy 95 ~36 miles then turn off and head west on Curly Lodge Rd., Blowout Reservoir Rd, and Birch Creek Rd to our first challenge site location at Birch Creek Historic Ranch.  From Birch Creek Ranch we backtrack a bit to the second challenge site at Cofee Pot Crater then head south for a brief stop at the gravesite of Jean Baptiste Charbonneau before returning to Hwy 95.

We can stop again at Jordan Valley to refuel before heading back to Marsing.  Round trip is about 164 miles.  This will be an all day event through some fairly remote country so carrying extra water, gas, and having your tool kit up to snuff is advisable.
