According to 3 of the Silver City local folk where the road from Murphy forks into either going to Silver City or to Jordan Valley is the Ruby City site.  (Alas, I don't have a GPS to verify.)  So, it was either this picture or one with the Forest Service Latrine in the background.  :-)

The GPS point for Ruby City is just some tailing piles on the side of the hill. This is down next to Jordan Creek looking across toward that hill.

After doing a little reading I found some remains of Ruby. It's about 100 yards North of the rest rooms before Silver City.

I wandered up and down the creek below the restrooms and basically saw alot of plcer remnants, calim stakes, and debris.  The photo tried to capture some placer tailings.  Spoke with the ladies at the store and they directed me to this location and they seemed pretty knowledgeable about it.

This photo is along an ATV trail on the west side of Jordan Creek very near the GPS coordinates for this challenge site.  There are tailings and some evidence of a rock wall that is deteriorating.  The single telephone line to Silver City runs right through here.
