Level 3 rides will include rutted double track, and uneven roads. These may be rocky and difficult at times. A 1200GS or similar bike will feel heavy in this terrain, and will require an experienced rider. A moderate rider on a 650cc bike will be able to maintain 20 to 30 m.p.h. without a load. Little or no single track will be present on a level 3 ride. You may encounter moderate water crossings (less than knee high). Expect higher average speeds on easy sections of the route.

Bridge to Heaven

For the last two years I have had the opportunity to ride North Idaho with my brother-in-law and his sons.  We've covered the Magruder, Lolo Trail, Kelly Creek and the Hiawatha Tunnels and Tressles near Avery.  I enjoy tagging along as their riding skills, pleasant company and extensive knowledge of the area makes for few "surprises" when we ride together.  I had told them of the IAMC Challenge and what fun I was having collecting sites and seeing long neglected areas of my state and that I needed to collect sites to put me into "Gold Knobby" range.

Ride Description:

Let's get to the 3rd Annual IAMC Event a day early! Enroute, we will visit three 2010 IAMC Challenge sites (Pilot Peak, Graham Guard Staion, and Custer), as well as do at least one water crossing (Valley Creek outside Stanley, one of my favorites).

Ride Description:

This is my all most yearly ride to Jarbidge, Nv. I will update it by in the next couple of weeks with all the fine details. This not a easy ride as the weather can change and cause for some bad muddy roads. Depending on who is going we may have an easier route in, we will see how it shapes up.
