Level 3 rides will include rutted double track, and uneven roads. These may be rocky and difficult at times. A 1200GS or similar bike will feel heavy in this terrain, and will require an experienced rider. A moderate rider on a 650cc bike will be able to maintain 20 to 30 m.p.h. without a load. Little or no single track will be present on a level 3 ride. You may encounter moderate water crossings (less than knee high). Expect higher average speeds on easy sections of the route.

Ride Description:

I'm going to ride to Big Hazard and Rainbow Lake Challenge sites on Saturday Sept 13th, and then Gold Fork LO on Sept 14th...  I'll be Tent camping on my property near Donnelly at 2545 Westwood Dr,  on Friday and Saturday nights and you are welcome to join me there either or both nights... there is plenty of room for tents and bikes, but no water on site. The nearest FS pit toilet is a mile down the road. It's a nice place to camp.

Ride Description:

Had a great time last weekend, looking to keep it going. Leaving Emmett 10am Friday, dirt to New Meadows, highway to Riggins then down into Kirkwood Ranch to check out the museam. Plan to find a campsite enroute, if nothing looks good head to Hammer creek.  Return Saturday morning and cut over to Clear creek and up to East Mountain lookout.

Thats my rough plan, not on much of a schedule so might do some exploring.

Ride Description:

All the afterwork rides I've done this year have been on gravel and pavement, and have been great dual sport rides, but I'd like to get onto some trails, so I'm planning to take a spin around the trails in the foothills. If you want to join in meet me at Camel's Back park @ 6:00, and we'll head out on  8th street, and ride trail 4 and maybe 6.
