5 - Insane!

On a level 5 ride, you will go places that the dual-sport motorcycle was not intended to go, and do things that a 650cc or larger motorcycle was not intended to do. A level 5 ride will include extreme water crossings, exceptionally steep inclines, and tight, narrow, single track trails. Speeds may be exceptionally quick at times, and riders must be advanced and skilled to safely participate.

Ride Description:

There's still a lot to work out (like whether I'll actually be able to do the ride or not) but I want to get it out there on the calendar.

If you don't know about my High Ride series then you might want to ask around before you think of signing up. Last time we did the ride we had:

-A broken subframe (Katy)

-A hole in an engine case (Alan)

-A smoked clutch (Ryan)

-Blown wheel bearing (me)

-Broken shift lever (Jimmy B)

-Several major crashes

-Torn off skid plate (Thane)

Two Crazies

Craig gets my hardcore award for the winter.

He made up a set of chains for himself (which are of far better quality than mine, by the way), so he was ready to go out and test them.

I spooned on my studded tires and joined him ~ I was banking on a lot of hard-pack to run so I went with the studs. Turns out the chains would have been a better option since it wasn't hard-pack but rather a wet snow.

Ride Description:

Lookin to see if anyone is interested in going up to the danskins on Saturday June 5th for a ride thru the countryside. This will be a rough ride where you will be bumped, and thrown around on quad trails that will certainly test your skills.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST NO KLRS OR LARGE BIKES FOR THIS RIDE.  I ALSO SUGGEST NO LUGGAGE RACKS OR HEAVY BOXES.

Trail conditions will be rocky at times, with a pinch of a few creek crossings to add to the fun. You will be tired and sore after this ride.
