Level 3 rides will include rutted double track, and uneven roads. These may be rocky and difficult at times. A 1200GS or similar bike will feel heavy in this terrain, and will require an experienced rider. A moderate rider on a 650cc bike will be able to maintain 20 to 30 m.p.h. without a load. Little or no single track will be present on a level 3 ride. You may encounter moderate water crossings (less than knee high). Expect higher average speeds on easy sections of the route.

Ride Description:

 Hey guys;

I'm proposing a run out to Indian Hot Springs on Sunday afternoon. Plan to meet up at the Chevron Station at Air Base rd and hiway 51 in Mountain Home at 5pm Sunday... due to time constraints, we'll leave there by 5:15pm...  so don't be late. We'll ride to Indian Hot Springs via the Clover/Three Creek rd and camp for the night, get a soak in, and listen to the Yotes howl...

I plan to pack up and be headed home by noon on Monday, should be back in Mountain Home by about 2pm...

Ride Description:

I've volunteered to head up this years trip to the 8th anual  Wallowa Valley Adventure Jamboree.  Sam I hope you can still make the trip!  This promises to be an awesome event, there is typically over 100 riders from all over the northwest gatherer in Enterprise Oregon.    This event doesn't have a sponsor so no one is trying to sell you anything.  You have heard the saying goes something like this: eat, ride, eat, ride, eat, drink, enjoy campfire, sleep, repeat.

Ride Description:

I want to hit the four challenge sites in SE Oregon. I don't have the specific route nailed down, but I wanted to get it on the calendar so those who would like to go could start planning. I plan on leaving Monday morning, camping somewhere, and coming back on Tuesday. I hear the food is pretty good in Fields, maybe we'll stop there for dinner. I'll be looking for gravel and two track and will stay off the asphalt as much as possible.

Ride Description:

UPDATE on my route 8/16/2013:  So as mentioned before, I plan to leave Murphy and head up toward Silver City and over the top into Jordan Valley, from Jordan Valley I plan to slab down US95 to Whitehorse Road.  Whitehorse Road will take us across to 292 south of Fields.  I figured we can fuel up in Fields and maybe grab a bite to eat if it suits us.  From there I plan to head north and hit Riddle Brother's ranch, and probably loop around to the north end of the Steen's Mountain Loop (if the southern end is still gated).

Finishing up the SE ID Challenge Sites

 I had a wedding to go to down in Twin Falls this past weekend, and I figured I would head out after the wedding and try to knock out all the challenge sites I hadn't down in SE ID.
