These motorcycles are usually 550ccs or less. They generally weigh less than 275 lbs. Although their carrying capacity may be smaller than their beefy cousins, they typically enjoy high ground clearance and great maneuverability in difficult terrain.

Trinity Lookout, Rocky Bar Loop

I wanted to get Trinity Mountain Lookout checked off my Challenge 2010 list.  steelhead needed 2 more sites for a bronze so we dediced to go for it.  We left Boise at 7 am. and travelled Black's Creek road to Prairie, over Meadow Creek road and up the Fall Creek road to the Trinity Mountain road.  The ride along the South Fork Boise River is always eye candy.

Ride Description:

Making a quick run to check off some Challenge Points.  My general route will be Boise, Prairie,Trinity Lookout, Rocky Bar, Featherville, Big Smokey, Indian Head Rock, Fairfield.  Then a deviated route to Little City of Rocks, Morman Reservoir, Mountain Home, and back to Boise.  This should collect 4 Challenge Points.  I set it as a Level 3 since getting to Trinity Lookout can be difficult and I don't know the snow conditions of that area.

Ride Description:

Since I was planning a ride through Challis for the same timeframe as what Ed has now posted for the Annual Club Ride, I decided to just leverage off this event and post a formal ride if anyone is interested in picking up a couple northern area sites on the way.  Yes it is out of the way, but does make a nice loop.  Based on who signs up and feedback, I can tweak the details a little but just wanted to get the general ride out there.

Anyway, the details as follows:  (note road numbers are from Benchmark maps)

Ride Description:

Lookin to see if anyone is interested in going up to the danskins on Saturday June 5th for a ride thru the countryside. This will be a rough ride where you will be bumped, and thrown around on quad trails that will certainly test your skills.

I HIGHLY SUGGEST NO KLRS OR LARGE BIKES FOR THIS RIDE.  I ALSO SUGGEST NO LUGGAGE RACKS OR HEAVY BOXES.

Trail conditions will be rocky at times, with a pinch of a few creek crossings to add to the fun. You will be tired and sore after this ride.
