Great ride through some wide open country with great views. Well maintained gravel road.
Really nice view but it is private property, so I didn't get to close. Took a quick picture and took off.
Dang this place would be cool to own. Nice climb. Low grade 3. Watch for utvs. Half the valley was up here.
Road seems more challenging than a 2 here. Whoever owns this must enjoy the view from their porch.
Easy to miss, tucked away. Private property sign clearly posted and there was a truck parked there so I didn't want to go any further up the driveway.
I rode with my dad to miners cabin, war eagle is close so it is worth going up there after you get your picture. The terrain is difficult if you lose your speed but as long as you keep a steady pace you will get up to the top in no time.
We rode past the entrance to this place at first. No one was home so we didn't venture much past the private property sign. 2 on this bike.
Great little stop on the way to War Eagle! We stopped here and took our picture, and then headed to War Eagle. On the way down we came across a pickup truck coming up the hill and stopped to talk to them. Apparently they were the owners of the cabin, and super nice folks.
The ride up here is a 2.5, but I will mark it as a 3. Just to this point I would take the adventure bike, but since we were going on to War Eagle I took the DRZ.
Last stop on our overnighter. Very cool place overlooking the valley beyond. You can tell the owners have done some upkeep to keep the place intact with the harsh winters. Wished we could have popped up to War Eagle site but still too much snow for our loaded ADV bikes!.
Super cool cabin. I didn’t venture up to the cabin since it was posted private property.
When I got there the owner and his friends were enjoying some beverages on the porch. He inherited it from his grandfather. They were all very friendly and very happy to tell me all about the cabin's history and invited me to poke around inside. Apparently, this is called Count's Cabin, and even has a wooden plaque on the door. I told them their cabin made on the IAMC challenge list, and they may be getting other visitors through the year. They seemed happy about it and welcomed kind company.
This was very easy to get to. I'd rate it about a 2.2 if I could, but I'm rating it a 3 because it isn't a wide flat graded gravel road like the other level 2's I've ridden.

Found some Mountain Shanties up here. Stayed off private property.

Private Property! Snapped a pic and moved on
A very cool little cabin.

We stopped short of the private property signs. Very pretty area.
Didn’t go all the way down to the cabin.
We kept a respectful distance due to the no trespassing signs.
What a cool place
