7 Check-Ins
I reached the overlook by way of Kleindschmidt Grade on the Idaho side, crossed the river at Oxbow, then downriver to Homestead and up Hess Road. Hess has a few ruts and rocks, so that might raise the difficulty level just a bit. Glad I brought the little bike today for that section. As always, the view is beautiful up here and it leaves you wanting to explore in every direction. Ran out of time to go to Imnaha, so I'll catch that next time.
Rode to Hell's Canyon Dam Visitors site, up the FS39 to Spend the night at Ollokot Campground and stopped at the Overlook on the way back. Always impresses with vast views. I enjoy asking fellow visitors their origins and this time met Massachusettsans and Bellinghamians.
Road 39 is clear of snow. The windy paved route is a lot of fun on any motorcycle. Nice view into Hell's Canyon.

No Smoke!!!
Spectacular view. My first time seeing the Seven Devils from Oregon.
