From Yorkshire in the UK, moved to San Jose in 97, then Nampa in 21. Was a geek for 35 years (DBA -> cloud architect) and retired 4/12/24. I've ridden quite a bit around the Sierra Nevada range and Northern Cal and intend to do the same with Idaho and the surrounding states. I've done the CABDR & IDBDR. Most rides I sweep, and I can generally McGyver a ride to completion :-) I'm computer literate and reasonably mechanically inclined (ie I can usually fix stuff). You'll normally see me on either a GSA, Norden, Beta 390RR or an F800GS, though I have several bikes, including street-only.
