Picked this up on the way home from the Boise Old Guys Hell's Canyon camping trip
When I arrived, there were six or seven deer bedded down in the shade in the tall grass next to the old school house.
Mostly two track and one inclined section of loose rocks. The trail turns to grass in a couple spots and at the end, making you think are are off the mark.
Jarbidge and the surrounding area are beautiful. Glad I got the chance to visit. The main roads going in are gravel and just a level 2. The way I went in on FR-067 and Power Line Rd was a harder 3 until the last bit right before dropping into Jarbidge. That was crazy steep with loose jagged rocks. I had more trouble with this bit than with Trinity and Big Southern Butte from last year. A hard 4 in my book. Glad I was going downhill.
Strange. Some folks spent a lot of time here to create the labyrinth and pagan worship site.
Funny thing - the store is owned by nice old lady named Wilma who changed the name of her store to My Place. Coffee is by donation, but not less than one dollar per cup.
It’s a great big beautiful barn with a nicely made sign. I was amazed at all the big expensive homes that have been built nearby. I came in on the pavement from Garden Valley and continued south to Placerville.
I forgot that I was looking for a cemetery when I arrived at my GPS pin. I saw the sign did the short hike and I’m glad I did because it’s a nice little cemetery in a very remote place.
