Check In
Use the form below to check in. Check-ins must include a photo of you or your bike at the challenge site with the 2026 bandanna. All participants must be registered IAMC Challenge Members. Leave a description of your ride and share road conditions — snow, water, obstacles, and tips for future riders are all appreciated.
Replying to another person's check-in is encouraged, but take care not to accidentally create your own check-in.
The stated difficulty is an estimate. Rating your experience helps future riders stay safe. You alone are responsible for the safety of your ride.
7 Check-Ins
16 miles Heading North from Jackpot NV is the little place. Huge portions.
Two options:
Pine Cafe (Pine, ID) - Always a nice stop after navigating around the Anderson Ranch Dam, after which you can get fuel next door and head to the Trinity Mountain sections of the Idaho BDR. Lots of good food options, and music on Saturday evenings.
Y Stop (Prairie, ID) - Decent food options and nice views in either of the three ways you can arrive (the "Y"). In the vicinity of a few other challenge sites. Just be aware, despite the billboard, they do not currently have working gas pumps.

But my site goes to country coffee cabin in Midvale
North Shore Lodge at Warm Lake!! First off, they have some tasty burgers. Second, I've spent some pretty fun nights in this bar over the summer. Easy pavement ride in....... Finding my camper in the dark at the end of the night....not so easy.
I always stop at the Grandview Gas Station for biscuits and sausage gravy. Only $2.49!

As it turns out, Elgin, Oregon has a number of good out-of-the-way places to eat. I ate at the Elgin Station Grill and Bar. The food was very good, prices are fair and they have a much broader menu than you would expect from a little small town mom and Pop place like this. The Big Horn Restaurant across the street is highly rated, but it will be closed for the next week or so as the owner had to go out of town on a personal matter.

The Springhouse is a nice local restaurant in Hidden Springs in an historic building. Easy to access via Dry Creek or Cartwright roads. Good food, beer and wine. 43.72605, -116.26056
