Description

Appleton School is a historic one-room schoolhouse located along the Snake River Canyon near Jerome, Idaho, and it makes a great small destination stop if you’re riding through the Magic Valley area. Built in the early 1900s, the school served children in the remote farming communities along the canyon and now sits as a quiet historic site overlooking the Snake River. The ride to the school takes you through rural farmland and canyon country, making it a nice detour if you’re exploring backroads between Jerome, Twin Falls, Hagerman, and the Thousand Springs area. It’s a quick stop, but the scenery and history make it worth pulling over.
