29 Check-Ins
Gobs of beautiful, open areas, valleys, ridges, meadows, rivers - maintained hardpack gravel roads all the way!
I like visiting the Y Stop every time I pass through. The folks who run it are so kind and genuinely hospitable. They are open 7 days a week right now for hunting season.
I got the Y-stop burger: beef, ham, bacon and eggs--so good! We happened to be there while they were spraying some kind of emulsifier on the road. We helped pat it down...
Really enjoyable ride.
Excellent burgers! Bring cash, as the internet connection for their card reader can sometimes be temperamental. It's an easy four-hour round trip from Boise.
2nd stop. The Prairie world is getting busier and busier. Good for the Y stop. On to Canyon Creek.
Y-Stop on a blustery day. Great ride with Bart and we saw very few people on the freshly grades roads.
Y Not Stop... Store was closed as owner was out buying more supplies. Roads all in great shape and freshly graded.
Great views. Fun roads with "fast gravel". Good food and good people. Great experience.
Great place to stop and get a burger for the Poker Run. They have excellent service.
The ride up was great. Easy roads the whole way, just watch out for sandy sections.
lunch for 17, they did a great job. I highly recommend them for lunch
The club stopped in for a delicious lunch while on the Prairie Ride. Food was great, they were busy today.
First time stopping at the Y. Driven by it before. Had some freeze dried candy bar thing, it was good.
Stopped at the Y for a quick picture, peanut m&m's, and a mountain dew. We were hoping to go up and over to Anderson Ranch Reservoir, but we hit deep snow right at 6,000 feet.
Did a nice loop over to Arrowrock. Road was freshly grated deep sand/dirt in spots.
Nice ride a lot of beautiful scenery to look at. Alot of Cows along side the road. Only came across one cow in the road.
The South Fork Rd up from Hwy 20 was buttery smooth, and good thing because I was being chased by a digger of a storm from the south. Only one motorcycle at the Y Stop (mine) but a guy drove up in an SUV who is also a fellow BMW owner. He's owned BMW's for over 50 years (me, almost a whopping FOUR!). Sounds like he had a bunch of British bikes in the barn as well. I love making those connections and hearing the stories while out riding.
