The stated difficulty is an estimate. Rating your experience helps future riders stay safe. You alone are responsible for the safety of your ride.
9 Check-Ins
This was midpoint on our spaghetti tour of the Motoway. Got stopped by snow at many points. Saw a lot of nice country, some of it 4 times in one day.
I was planning to unload the TW in Greer and ride up the grade. It was dumping rain, so I didn't bother to unload it.
I walked about 20 yards up the trail, then walked back to get my bear spray 🙂 Cool road up the mountain to get there. Lots of hairpins and twisties.
Rode with Dan Huff, great ride and weather, Rain predicted for tomorrow
In Pierce, the place to eat is the Gold Rush Bar and Restaurant. We had a great visit with the woman who owned the establishment. You can go to Pierce from Orofino to Pierce on Grangemont Road then back to Hwy 12 on Hwy 11 to make a cool loop.
This site is a bit somber. This is not where it actually happened; there is a short trail that takes you to the site.

Interesting history.
The lolo motorway was snowed in so we look the long way around

Easy access on paved roads. Great ride. In mid seventies.
