If the problem persists, please reach out on the Forums under “Website Tips and Questions.” This should just be a temporary issue as we get the tech figured out. Thank you.

I walked about 20 yards up the trail, then walked back to get my bear spray 🙂 Cool road up the mountain to get there. Lots of hairpins and twisties.

In Pierce, the place to eat is the Gold Rush Bar and Restaurant. We had a great visit with the woman who owned the establishment. You can go to Pierce from Orofino to Pierce on Grangemont Road then back to Hwy 12 on Hwy 11 to make a cool loop.

This site is a bit somber. This is not where it actually happened; there is a short trail that takes you to the site.
