I am planning on riding up to Scott Mt Lookout. We will take the single track from Crouch up to the look out. It's going to be extremely hot, probably dry and dusty. This route will be rated at the highest level here at 5. I know there is an easier way but I like to make things difficult. The trail is rated a level 5 for single track so that makes it a intermediate trail with loose rocks and uphill climbs there will also be exposure. That coupled with the high heat later in the day is going to make this a challenge. so that being said if your new or a beginer level single track this isn't a route for you. Details.
Meet at Weilmunster Parking lot @ 7:00AM (ish) https://maps.app.goo.gl/Uwjs3ddmd8UJYZmJ7
Route is 26 miles total in and out.
I was talking with a few people about how to access this trail as ONx shows it to run clean into Crouch but the official Route from MVUM map data shows it outside of town off a road called Gooseberry RD. I will be at the Great Scotts Gas Station in Garden Valley at 7 AM. From there we will drive 9 miles up a few roads to the trailhead. This is where I plan to unload and ride from. I have 2 seats open in my vehicle and a flatbed trailer that I'm pulling up if anyone wants to do some hard stuff. It also looks to be hot as the day goes on. Some of the feedback I got is that one area I might have to drag my bike up as it is loose and steep. If you are coming I would say bring plenty of water, along with proper trail gear. Here is a link to the area I plan to park at.
