Dean Wilkinson and I did the F4 & Jarbidge starting at Black Sands. The ride to the F4 turnoff was just asphalt. Once on the F4 road, there was a section just after a ranch that had loose rocks that was tricky to get up. Dean ended up dropping his T7 about 100 yards behind me, so I stopped and went back to help. I eventually ended up riding his bike up to the top of the hill and then struggled to get my bike going again, as it would just spin the rear wheel and gain no momentum. Ever tried walking a GSA up on the engine on loose rocks? The rest of the way was easy two-track. On the way down, Dean dropped his bike again after being deflected to the right. I then stopped to help and ended up doing the same after putting my foot into an empty hole 🙂 Funny thing is I picked the GSA up myself, and it took two of us to lift the T7! Rowley Road down to Jarbridge was far more interesting than the BDR route. I was toying with going all the way to white horse and going over the range there, but was glad we took this route. We did, however, take the boring gravel roads back to Bruneau, and since much of this section had been recently 'graveled', it made for interesting riding at speed.
