After my jaunt up to Florence, I refueled and went in search of the old bus. It was getting very warm, and the climb up French Creek from Allison Creek Picnic Area provided some welcome altitude cooling. On the way up,I was greeted by an overlander coming down. Not sure what size cojones this dude had, but they were a lot bigger than mine. Traffic, mostly BDR riders, was actually pretty heavy as I got to the top of the switchbacks, and when I got to the bus, there were two groups posing for pics. I went by the same overlander on the way down - he was a few miles further on. At the truck, I downed a liter of water and set off for the group ride in New Meadows. Two days later I find myself leading a group back up French Creek to the same Old Bus, but this time we went in a loop back through Burgdorf and McCall. I noticed a few more holes in the bus this time, and some of the stickers were missing a few circular sections.
